From 30th March 2020, MOT due dates for cars, motorcycles and light vans will be temporarily extended for 6 months.
We urge extreme caution if you intend to drive a vehicle which does not have an MOT. Not only is this dangerous but drivers must still keep their vehicle in a roadworthy condition – a vehicle can be unsafe even if the MOT expiry date has been extended.
You can be fined up to £2,500, be banned from driving and get 3 penalty points for driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition.
Garages will remain open under a Government exemption to carry out essential vehicle maintenance and repair to keep vehicles, goods and key workers moving and safe can continue.
We are still open to carry out MOTs, servicing and repairs and have put in place a wide range of measures to protect our customers and staff.
Many thanks
The Autocare Team
